The cleaning and restoration of commercial catering equipment has become an essential part of our offering. After equipment is stored for a long period of time or has spent a lot of time in use on site, it’s essential that a third party comes in to ensure equipment is meeting health and safety standards as well as creating a more pleasant working environment for kitchen staff.
An example of this would be a recent project at the Little Duffy, Potters Bar. The Keith Elkington Transport team were approached by management within Little Duffy to undertake some extensive cleaning as part of an overall scheduled maintenance of the kitchen. The team visited the site to take an initial inventory of items and to asses any potential site restrictions. Initial stock inventories helped the cleaning team to prepare for the project and give an understanding of the outlay of the kitchen. Due to site restrictions on parking space, initial issues with vehicle access were flagged so that KET could preempt this on the day of arrival.
Once initial checks were undertaken, KET then had a solid outline of equipment specification, placement as well as site access and regulations. With the initial site checks done this gave the team a good standing to arrive on site and ensure all works were completed smoothly. Now that the kitchen has had a professional cleaning, the site has seen a massive difference in general operation and is ready to tackle everything coming it’s way in early 2018. This is just one of many successful cleaning projects undertaken by Keith Elkington Transport, helping us to prove a turnkey solution for equipment storage, transportation and restoration.
